American Football is a game that played on a grass field, this is known and famous in the United States. The objective of the game is to score and it requires protective gears, training and travel. Their strong body and through advancing the ball into the opposing team. Do you know Who's Tashard J. Choice and what is hes contribution on the American Football Team and all hes achievements on the game. Well he is an American football Player from the Dallas Cowboys and he started hes career and building himself in a good community while hes still studying.

Tashard is a former football player in his high school career played for Lovejoy High and he recorded 40 career all for touch-down and continue his college to Georgia Tech where he took up his major course of History, Technology, and Society and gained All-Big 12 Academic Honor Roll in 2004 with his All-ACC Academic Honor Roll in 2005-2006. He performed well in his academic performance and he even played more and enhance his skills for his football career.

He started his professional career as a football player for the Dallas Cowboys and was selected in the fourth round and as a position of running back. Continue his year still in a Dallas Cowboys and at 2009 he had his a 3 weeks injury received in the Carolina Panthers. That year he even give his 18 carries for 82 yards and one touch-down in a Dallas wins. He even has a million contract worth $2.44 million signed July 23, 2008 carried for 4years it also include $439,000 signing bonus and continuing for the coming year. Like in an online casino it has an entertaing value that people really look forward for each and every game. With all his achievements on the game he already reach his choice as good as he is right now playing and performing the best of his game.

UFC Is Safer Than Football And Boxing: Dana White

UFC President, Dana White talks about why he’s not overjoyed at his son wanting to pursue a career in football, explaining he considers mixed martial arts to be safer than that and boxing. “The misconception is, these guys can kick, knee, punch, elbow, slam to the ground, this has to be more violent and dangerous. It's not true,” says UFC President Dana White of the sport of mixed martial arts.

"What's more violent than boxing? You and I stand in front of each other for 12 rounds, and my goal is to hit you so hard in the face that I knock you unconscious. In the UFC you and I can fight, and I can beat you and win, and never punch you in the head once. We can go right to the ground, start grappling, and pull off a submission. It's not 25, 30 minutes of blows to the head non-stop.” UFC President Dana White said.

As well, he adds, “the difference with the tap out is that if I get you into a submission and you're in a bad place - you can tap out with honour. It's acceptable in this sport.”

White further points out that there’s never been a UFC injury more serious than a broken arm. However, he says, "At the end of the day it's a contact sport and anything can happen."

On the new HBO deal, Dana White says he believes UFC events are going to be a great addition to HBO’s lineup. HBO has said they won’t include people from their current boxing coverage team on the UFC productions, which seems to please White.

“I love the sport of boxing, let me tell you. That’s where I came from, and I used to live, eat, breathe, sleep boxing. Unfortunately, all the guys who were involved in boxing, all had a hand in helping kill that great sport. And the thing that scares me is, all the sleazy, slithering, creepy guys from boxing all are starting to work their way over to MMA now. And hopefully, the UFC can position themselves right now to keep all the creeps out of the sport.”

I absolutely agree with Dana White’s assertions… I actually wrote a research paper that compared injury rates of different sports. In a nutshell, football players tend to suffer from chronic debilitating injuries over the course of their career. 
 

If you compare rugby to NFL, you find much less chronic injuries because ruggers don’t wear pads. In boxing, boxers are at an extremely high risk for brain trauma (and disease), since their sport basically consists of being hit in the face repeatedly. A K.O is actually a mild form of concussion to the brain. Studies have shown that many boxers have portions of their brains that are literally “mush” from being repeatedly traumatized.

Boxing is much worse because of the accumulation of damage from being punched in the head thousands of times in a career is just not safe. Look at James Toney, I remember when he was young and in his prime he can barely talk now. Thats the guys who didn’t get beat to death like Jimmy Garcia who died after taking a beating from one of the Ruelas brothers or beat till his higher brain functions cease like Gerald McClellan.

UFC on the other hand gives the fighter the option to tap out (stopping the trauma), grapple instead of strike, and is restricted to 3-5 rounds. I would absolutely submit that UFCF fighters suffer much less trauma over the course of their career as compared to NFL football players or boxers.

Over 90% of the injuries sustained by fighters happen in training. Boxing is straight brutal. Everyone thinks its the big knockout that hurts you. I looks far worse then it is. The KO is a result of the bodies own defense system. Its those fighters that have so-called good chins that sustain brutal damage to their brains. Facts dont lie. NFL football is indeed more dangerous sport then UFC as a whole.

Although none of this actually means UFC is a safe sport. It is just safer then the two sports mentioned. I don't think it is anything one should rejoice over. Its still dangerous and anything can happen. 
 

Dana White may not have articulated it well but he’s right. A ten year NFL football players no matter how good he was or how healthy he is will have his life dramatically changed by the sport of football. Its just not physically possible for men that size, to move that fast and have multiple collisions. I’m not only talking concussions, I’m talking knee injuries , ankles etc. Look at Curtis Martin, he’s a guy who's in his 30’s and should still be in the prime of his life and can barely walk. Earl Campbell, etc.

New York Giants Lawrence Taylor Accused Rape

Lawrence Taylor, the former NFL New York Giants linebacker whose quarterback-chasing exploits secured him a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was arrested by police in the Suffern, N.Y., area early Thursday morning and charged with rape.

Authorities accused Lawrence Taylor of paying $300 for sex with a 16-year-old runaway from New York City. The alleged victim in the case, identified only by her initials during Taylor's arraignment Thursday, was accompanied to Taylor's hotel room by a man who later was arrested in New York, authorities said.

Lawrence Taylor was charged with third- degree rape -- a felony involving sex with a minor below the age of 17 -- and patronizing a prostitute in the third degree, a misdemeanor. The felony charge is punishable by up to four years in jail and the misdemeanor charge is punishable by up to a year in jail, authorities said at an afternoon news conference.

Ramapo Chief of Police Peter Brower said Lawrence Taylor was cooperative when police woke him up around 4 a.m. Taylor was arraigned Thursday on charges of third-degree rape and patronizing a prostitute.

"I'm not that important," Lawrence Taylor told a scrum of media after being released on $75,000 bail. His attorney, Arthur Aidala, said Taylor is a "loving family man" who did not have sex with the teenager. "My client did not have sex with anybody," Atty. Arthur Aidala said. "Lawrence Taylor did not rape anybody."

Brower would not comment on whether Taylor knew the girl's age; third-degree rape is a charge levied when the victim is under the age of consent, which is 17 in New York. "Ignorance is not an excuse to an individual's age," Brower said.

Police said the girl was reported missing by her family in March and had been staying with a 36-year-old parolee, Rasheed Davis, in the Bronx. The two met a few weeks ago at a Bronx bus stop, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

"He chats her up. She explains she doesn't have a place to stay. He provides one," NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

A judge set bail for Lawrence Taylor at $75,000. was arrested in New York, authorities said. His attorney, Arthur Aidala, said at a news conference that Taylor "did not have sex with anybody," disputing an account by authorities that Taylor acknowledged to investigators that he paid for intercourse.

Lawrence Taylor had a highly publicized struggle with drug addiction and has had multiple legal run-ins since retiring from football.

A quick, fierce and athletic linebacker who redefined his position, Lawrence Taylor anchored the Giants' defense and led New York to Super Bowls titles in 1987 and 1991. He was selected to the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team.

A 10-time Pro Bowler, he was the NFL Most Valuable Player in 1986 and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1981, 1982 and 1986. He recorded 132½ sacks, which doesn't included his 9 sacks in 1981 when the statistic wasn't official.

In 2001, Lawrence Taylor was convicted of possessing drug paraphernalia in New Jersey. The conviction stemmed from the September 1998 discovery in a hotel room of a butane torch and other materials commonly used to smoke crack.

Eminem Mocks Pitsburgh Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger

 "F**k that, I'd rather turn this club into a bar room brawl. Get as rowdy as Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall"  

That's a line from the classy new Eminem song, "Recovery", which is up for your review at the Sports Betting Unlimited (and very unsafe for young ears, it's worth noting). I'm sure NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is positively giddy with this tune hitting the airwaves in frequent rotation.

If you're scoring at home, we've now seen stories about Ben's mullet, his subsequent haircut, his slow merchandise sales, his sign being taken down at the zoo, and even one of his funded police dogs getting kicked off the force. And that's leaving out about a billion other stories about Ben Roethlisberger that I missed. But for those who cry "overkill" at blogs and media outlets for their coverage of the story, take a look at the most read stories on the Tribune Review's website today.

Three of the top 6, including the top 2overall, are on Pitsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger, and we're almost 2 months removed from the Milledgeville story. People may say they don't care about the story any more and want to move on (as do I - honestly), but actions speak louder than words - and actions are indicating that Big Ben is still the the dominant topic of the day in Pittsburgh.

The story of Ben Roethlisberger's sexual assault allegations has pretty much reached its logical terminus, now that he's been disciplined by the league and the Steelers have opted not to trade him. That doesn't mean that the drama has disappeared from the public consciousness. Indeed, the pop culture first responders have arrived to continue to riff on the salacious details.

Pitsburgh Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was accused of the sexual assault in early March, the second time he has face such an accusation in the past year. A college student alleged that the two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback assaulted her at a Milledgeville, Ga. Nightclub.  

Ben Roethlisberger admitted to having "sexual contact" with his accuser, and reports claim that he "aggressively hit" on a bar patron and that the Steeler's bodyguards blocked access to the bathroom in which the assault allegedly took place. 

While Ben Roethlisberger will not face criminal charges, he still could face a suspension or other disciplinary measures from the NFL or Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers quarterback will meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell later this week.

Pitsburgh Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger will now have to work hard to earn back the respect and trust of Steelers fans, and to live up to the leadership responsibilities we all expect of him. 

In the coming days Ben will meet with Commissioner Goodell to discuss his resolve to abide by the league's personal conduct standards. After consultation with the Commissioner, our organization will determine the next steps in this process.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Ben Roethlisberger for 6 games for violating the personal-conduct policy last week. A 20-year-old woman accused him in Georgia of sexual assault, but the local D.A. decided not to prosecute.

While Eminem is releasing a new album called "Recovery" the song referencing Ben Roethlisberger will not be included. The song was posted at a website co-founded by Eminem's manager.

NFL Draft 2010: St. Louis Rams Pick Sam Bradford

Sam Bradford heard his name called as the first pick in the NFL draft, collected a new St. Louis Rams jersey with his surname on the back and took the obligatory pictures with commissioner Roger Goodell. The Rams, desperate for a revival, were undoubtedly convinced. Although St. Louis general manager Billy Devaney wouldn't publicly declare that Bradford was the pick before the draft — even on Thursday, hours before the prime-time event — the team gave the quarterback the heads up. And for weeks, draft analysts projected Sam Bradford as No. 1.

The Rams – who finished a league-worst 1-15 in 2009 and have just six wins in the last three years - were sold. They're prepared to guarantee Bradford upwards of $50 million, and then hand him the keys to a franchise that has definitely fallen on hard times. For Sam Bradford, who stands 6-4 and weighs 236 pounds, it's likely he will take over as the starting quarterback immediately, and he will become the face of the Rams. 

 

Sam Bradford completed 67% of his throws over two-plus seasons at Oklahoma, and his 88-16 touchdown-interception ratio is certainly impressive. He has a big-enough arm, has demonstrated that it's healthy, and as long as he can learn to take better care of his body and avoid the kind of hits that knocked him out of the lineup last year, Sam Bradford should be just fine at the next level.

"That's pretty cool because I know the Big 12 has been getting a lot of slack lately, People for some reason didn't think that we played much football in the Big 12 and sure didn't think we played much defense, so for two defensive tackles to go in the first three picks is a credit to the Big 12." said Sam Bradford, the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner.

"That was really cool, I actually still have the Heisman ballot from when they read that off. So I'll be able to add that to the collection and be able to look at it years from now." Sam Bradford added at the backstage.

Still, with the Rams not engaging in serious contract talks with Sam Bradford's agent, Tom Condon, to seal a deal before the draft, the quarterback was only so assured. NFL veterans who have been down this path before, Sam Bradford said, warned him to never rest assured about the selection until it happened. And he listened to that advice.

The predraft highlight? Sam Bradford took the 17-member entourage, which included his parents and grandparents, to the Top of the Rock, an observation deck at the top of Rockefeller Plaza. "It's probably one of my favorite things to do," he said. "You get up there and you can see clear across all of New York City".

With that formality handled, the Rams will get a man eager to get on the field again. The motivation of proving that he's a worthy selection and can make the NFL transition is boosted by the incentive to make his comeback complete from the shoulder injury.

"I'm ready," Sam Bradford said who dressed in a tan suit with a sky-blue shirt accented with a green tie, Sam Bradford sure looked and sounded like a man prepared to face all the pressure and challenges that await. 

 

Does he expect to start on Week 1 as a rookie?

"I can't answer that," he said, chuckling. "I haven't been presented a playbook yet. But I'm going to do everything I can to get on the field as soon as possible."

NFL News: Oakland Raiders New Players And Injuries

No one would have ever guessed there were quarterbacks both dropping and popping up in NFL. Oakland Raiders signed Cal product Kyle Boller pretty much as Cable spoke, it was announced later. Then Thursday night, it was learned that Raiders quarterback Bruce Gradkowski tore a pectoral muscle while lifting weights on Wednesday night.

Bruce Gradkowski will undergo surgery for the injury on Friday but is expected to be fully healed by the start of training camp in July, his agent, Ralph Cindrich, confirmed in an e-mail. The injury was first reported by ProFootballTalk.com. Bruce Gradkowski provided an immediate spark after replacing Russell, leading Oakland to comeback victories in two of his first three starts. 

He got hurt midway through his fourth start, suffering a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee and a partially torn MCL in his right knee, and did not play the rest of the season. He completed 54.7 % of his passes with six touchdowns and three interceptions on the season. 
 

Meanwhile, Bruce Gradkowski set to compete with JaMarcus Russell for the starting job, will have surgery today, a league source said. He is expected to resume throwing in four weeks. The team did not say if Boller, 29, would have a chance to compete with Russell and Gradkowski. Russell, the No. 1 overall pick in 2007, lost the job midway through last season. Gradkowski started three games and Charlie Frye, who is also back, started three games.

Kyle Boller has 50 interceptions and 48 touchdowns in 46 career NFL starts for Baltimore and St. Louis, has one thing going for him. The former first-round pick has a history with new Raiders offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, who was Baltimore's quarterbacks coach in Boller's last season there, 2008. Kyle Boller was the starter in the preseason before sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury. Of course, the Ravens had drafted quarterback Joe Flacco that year to eventually replace Boller, the 19th overall pick in 2003. His best season was 2004, when he started every game and passed for 2,559 yards with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

"He's here. He's working, He's doing everything that everybody else is doing. ... That's all I can tell you." Raiders head coach Tom Cable said.

Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable calmly walked to the podium Thursday, addressed the beat writers in a predraft chat and then was on his way. Earlier, Cable broke away from his just-draft talk mandate to praise receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, who struggled in his rookie year.

"You guys will be excited when you see ... the improvement Darrius has already made, That guy has jumped out at us since winter ... just the quality of work he's done. Probably no one is more excited about a guy on our team than Darrius right now. He really, really has taken this thing leaps and bounds, further probably than what we thought we could go with it this quickly. It will be nice to get him on the field and get him into coverages and get him into route concepts.” Raiders head coach Tom Cable added.

75th NFL Draft 2010 Kick Off

The NFL draft will kick off in prime time for the first time in 2010, it was announced Thursday. The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft will start on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the second and third rounds on Friday, April 23 at 6 p.m. ET, followed by Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET. The draft will continue to be televised by ESPN and NFL Network site. The 2010 NFL Draft -- the 75th draft in NFL history -- again will be held at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

"We continue to look for ways to make the draft more accessible to more fans, Moving the first round to prime time on Thursday night will make the first round of the draft available to fans on what is typically the most-watched night of television." NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said.

McCoy To Enter NFL Draft

Oklahoma Sooners Defensive Tackle Gerald McCoy gave us all shocking information that he will enter his name into the NFL draft. After his Sun Bowl game Gerald McCoy will prepare for this NFL career. This kid is being talked about like he could end up being one of the best ever at his position. I have heard that way to many times before so I will wait and see before I anoint him the best tackle ever.

Campbell to Enter Draft

Alright this guy from what I read is like the ultimate warrior of the weight room. Players and coaches nicknamed him “Zeus” but the kid can not stay out of the trainers room. No this is not because there is a hot nurse either, the dude is always injured. Bruce Campbell announced today that he will leave Maryland to see how he can fair in the NFL. Guy could be special if he can stay healthy and it should be interesting to see where he lands.
